For some people, time off from school means rest and relaxation. In our home, the minute the bell rings, excitement with a heavy dose of anxiety fills the air. Why, you may ask; as the mother of 4 growing boys the daily menu is what it’s all about. My boys are asking what’s for lunch, while they are eating their breakfast. The same goes for dinner.

Sesame Chicken Sauce
Stir the below ingredients over a low flame until the sauce thickens. Pour over tempura fried chicken and toss until chicken is coated evenly.
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¾ cup sugar
- ¼ cup apple cider vinegar (or whichever you have on hand)
- 7 cloves of garlic, minced (or 1tsp garlic powder if fresh is unavailable)
- 4 teaspoons ketchup
- 4 teaspoons soy sauce
- 1-2 tablespoons honey
- 1/4 cup water
- add flour to thicken (2 tbsp)
